The process of Stump Grinding

 

Stump grinding enables the removal of a tree stump from the ground after the tree has been cut down.

 

We will use a stump grinder of a relevant size for your property to remove your stump.  This is possible immediately or many years after the tree has gone and has the capability of removing stumps from awkward places e.g. close to walls, footpaths or where disruption to underground services may otherwise occur.

 

Our stump grinders all work in the same way.  They have a vertical rotating disk with tungsten carbide tipped teeth.  This cuts through the stump in a sideways action, cutting and reducing the stump to mulch.  We have the ability to remove the waste from your property leaving the finished area so you may immediately replant, turf or build upon.   Of course if you would like to keep the mulch for your garden you are more than welcome to do so.

 

Many of our  clients use our service to enable the replanting of new trees or simply wish to have their property enhanced.  Where fungal infections are concerned e.g.  Honey fungus, the removal of the stump does enhance eradication of the infection.
